POSTION VACANT – NATIONAL ADMINISTRATOR
This remote position serves as the central hub for coordinating the operations of AUSTA’s National Office. The successful candidate will communicate with members across Australia via phone, video conferencing, and email, and will work closely with key volunteer stakeholders including the National President, National Secretary, National Treasurer, and National Journal Editor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and update content on AUSTA’s website (www.austa.asn.au).
- Liaise with the website hosting company.
- Coordinate national events, including touring artists.
- Oversee membership administration.
- Manage communications using tools such as Mailchimp and Google Workspace.
- Attend and contribute to National meetings.
- Handle basic bookkeeping and coordinate the annual audit.
- Source advertisers for the national journal.
Ideal Candidate:
- Works well independently and proactively.
- Communicates effectively across a variety of platforms.
- Is highly organised and capable of managing multiple tasks.
- Has a working knowledge of digital tools and basic bookkeeping.
- An interest in classical music is advantageous.
Position Details:
- Flexible hours: 20–30 hours per week.
- Workload may vary depending on events and seasonal activities.
- While some responsibilities are time-sensitive, the role offers flexibility in how hours are arranged throughout the week.
